We’ve spent the last weekend in our country house. Must say that these days I quite enjoy spending a weekend or two per whole summer there. But when I was a kid and a teenager, I wholeheartedly hated that place, that’s how boring a little village with no other kids to spend time with but my brother and a cousin could be. And a period of 2 to 3 months – that’s like a lifetime!- spent over there was a shear torture. Every time I’d come back to town and to civilization after a summer exile, I was almost crying at the mere sight of water running from a tap, decent toilet instead of a ‘little wooden house with a heart shaped hole’, and a prospect of several stores being just minutes away as opposed to the one and only store some 5 km away (+5 km back obv). Not to mention all the work we were asked to do while staying with grandparent. Coming home was so great a pleasure 🙂
Nowadays there’s just an empty house over there, to which we go just a couple times per summer for a relaxing weekend by the lake, with grilled meat, and nothing else to do but enjoy ourselves and surroundings. Say, neighbor’s hissing and rather angry geese 😛
You mean you’re not a fan of the airy outdoor loos with the heart- shaped hole?! Lovely photos. Can’t believe autumn’s coming round so soon.

Oooh, I can do with those loos for a day or two, but if we talk any longer you better watch out – my mood considerably becomes more of a werewolf’s during a full moon 😉

and yeah, spring, summer, and sometimes even winter might get lazy and be late, but autumn is always on time and ready to step in any time in August.
Soon I believe it will be a big harvest time for you, June. Though maybe some of the goods are already in

Glad you liked them. The colors were even more vivid for the eyes, and it was nice to feast my eyes on them while the summer is still kickin’ and before autumn re-dyed everything to all shades of red and yellow 🙂

Those loos – for months… I can’t even imagine! Seems like Autumn is coming here – glad you made the most of summer while it lasted!

it’s best to leave it at that. if you were able to imagine it, I’d be quite worried that after such an ‘exercise’ of mind some professional help for one’s mental state is needed 😀 Or you’d be not just trying out some new roar styled outfits but grinning as a madwoman every time you’d see a modern toilet B-)

I do that sometimes anyway 😉

I’m with Linda. Lack of toilet facilities would break me in the long run (i.e. longer than a weekend). I’d quite like the nature bit, though.
