Road trip. Day 1

Summer is a perfect time to embark on some road trip, and this year was no exception. This time our weekend long road trip has taken me to Bauska, then Rundale Palace in Latvia for the first day, and to some nice nature points of interests back in Lithuania. One day for architectural and otherwise human made heritage, and the other was mostly solely left to exploring some nature’s wonders. Just a few points of interest might sound not all that much to you, but since none of my friends with driving license could or would join us for the trip, I did not want to get to the point of tiredness when I’d be simply too tired to care for all the beauty of places on my ‘places to visit’ list like I did on a few occasions during the last year and the year before.

On wee hours of Saturday morning (like on 10 a.m. 😉 since we’ve waited on a friend to get off her shift at work) we’ve set off northbound. A little bit of sunshine, plenty of rain and lots of shiver causing winds could not ruin the weekend for the 3 of us.

Though I'm not friends with height, for a nice view I can almost always fight back and conquer my fears

About somewonderland

While sometimes world may seem grey, in twilight's grey all the colors are hidden. Learning to find those colors is like making a collage from many and many scraps - it may seem hard, pieces might not fit at the first glance, but that scraps come together in the end. If you enjoy what you find, don't be shy.
