Torn apart

bagsYesterday of of our blue collar employees came to the office. It was his last day at work as he was leaving the company. What made his case stand out was the fact that he came in with his beautiful two year old. It was a heart warming experience to watch him interact with his precious daughter, but at the same time it was an excruciatingly sad one too. He was not just leaving our company for some better paid job in here Lithuania, but was about to leave the country and his family for months and months to come.

Emigration isn’t a bad thing per se, its evil side hides in quite huge numbers of many and many people who had to go this road in search for a better life for themselves and their families and who sometimes had to leave the ones they love behind. If this separation does not last very long, then probably all is good eventually, but sometimes it tears families and loved ones apart for good.

We wished this young man the very best, and hopefully his separation from his family will be just a short one. I really do hope it will, and soon after he will be with his family again.

About somewonderland

While sometimes world may seem grey, in twilight's grey all the colors are hidden. Learning to find those colors is like making a collage from many and many scraps - it may seem hard, pieces might not fit at the first glance, but that scraps come together in the end. If you enjoy what you find, don't be shy.
